The Storage Bin You Knew, Reinvented
Before Kreate, the go-to storage bin hadn’t been designed to seamlessly serve the inside and the outside. Many assumed it didn’t need to be. We see an opportunity to not just improve the product exponentially but grab hold of the entire market.
We employed our hallmark Kreative process, analyzing the landscape and existing products to create a version that solved all the old problems—adding features like an aesthetically pleasing in-mold wood grain or wicker finish, UV and weather resistance, slightly domed lid with water runoff channels and more—capitalizing on new opportunities for category growth.

An innovative and entirely new product never seen before the In & Out Box is a category crusher, a market disruptor and a destination item that can only be found at Lowe’s. The In & Out Box will generate entirely new streams of revenue simply because there is nothing else like it.

Aesthetically unappealing and homogenous design, black and yellow everywhere, no differentiation, no UV stabilizer, water retention, certainly not something you would be proud to showcase in a nice home setting: these have been the hallmarks of the typical storage bin. Such shortfalls have no place inside (or outside) the modern home.

Starting from the ground up, Kreate deconstructed the conventional storage bin to reimagine it, keeping its basic form while fundamentally altering its features. After comprehensive market research, testing, and multiple rounds of prototyping, we landed on a design and manufacturing process that is primed for exponential growth and rapid consumer adoption.

It Starts With Research
Like all of our projects, our In & Out Box undertaking began with competitor shopping and marketplace analysis. After poring over customer reviews, dissecting sales data, and reverse-engineering some of the industry’s best-selling designs, we developed the foundation that would eventually become the In & Out Box. We also did a deep dive into pricing, determining production and wholesale costs to deliver the best possible value.

We started bringing our innovative models into the physical world. Using 3D printing to produce high-quality prototypes, we gather valuable feedback through tests and client trials. After multiple different iterations, our teams settled on a sophisticated design that is aesthetically pleasing and constructed for indoor or outdoor use.
Tooling & Manufacturing
Bringing the Design to Life
After final design, we move to procurement and logistics. After acquiring and forming the necessary components, our team will prepare our on-site injection molding machinery for production. With an equal focus on part durability and cost-consciousness, we will optimize the tooling and manufacturing process for the new-and-improved In & Out Box.

While most designs and production companies hand off the project at this point, Kreate goes one step further, showing how your products might look on the sales floor. We will assist in drafting a package design, branding, and creating mock signage to provide a tangible example of just how good the product could look in the “real world”.
